Holiday Wishes From First Score Boston

On May 26, 2015, we posted our first blog post on First Score Boston.  The past seven months have brought a lot of different sports topics to the table.  We started out with the Red Sox disappointing start, major changes on the Bruins during the offseason, and Deflategate.  The summer brought us a bit of a lag on major stories as the Sox fell out of contention and things quieted down with the Bruins and Celtics offseason.  That all changed this fall as the Patriots have been on yet another title run, the Red Sox have delivered the goods with major moves this offseason, and both the Bruins and Celtics are playing very well.

In the past seven months, 58 blog posts have been written on our site.  As we stated in the About section on the website, the posts on this blog are not always going to be the standard stories you read about every day.  There may be many posts that people disagree with.  The intent of this blog is to provide objective opinions on Boston sports topics. We believe we have done that and we hope our readers are engaged by having different perspectives to read about.

So, after seven months, where do we stand?  We have over 1,000 followers on our Twitter page, a lot of engagement on our Facebook page, and we are also now on Google.  We’ve made a lot of progress, but we’re continuing to look to improve.  I can say, on a personal level, that I have really enjoyed writing about Boston sports.  Sports is something that I’ve always been passionate about.  More importantly, it brings people together.  The engagement on the posts has been very gratifying.  I have really enjoyed the comments and the feedback that has been provided on this blog.  While some of the comments have not been ideal, a lot of the constructive feedback has been taken in.

Today, I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season.  I would also like to thank the dedicated readers to the blog for all of your comments and support.  Enjoy your holidays with your family!

More to come on First Score Boston as we approach 2016!  Happy Holidays!
