It’s time for changes at Fenway.  After two very successful months of April and May, the Red Sox are struggling more and more each day in June and they’re watching their odds for the playoffs dwindle.  The team is 7 -12 in June and has gone from first place to now being on the brink […]

If you watched Friday Night’s Red Sox vs. Yankees game, you saw an official problem in Major League Baseball.  Literally, an official was the problem!  The Red Sox and Yankees battled for over three hours with the Yankees leading 3-2 in the 9th inning.  The Yankees brought in their lights out closer, Andrew Miller, for […]

May 1, 2016May 3, 2016 Joe 1 Comment Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, Featured, Patriots

What was the best year in Boston sports?  There have certainly been a lot of outstanding years especially since 2001.  Boston sports teams have won nine championships in the past fifteen years to go along with thirteen championship appearances.  If you take a look at years prior to 2001, it’s tough to find years that […]

First Score Boston - A Boston Sports Blog
The Boston sports teams are about winning and championships. Nine championships in fifteen years speaks for itself! One of the goals of all four teams is to get out in front early by scoring first. The intent of this site is get the "First Score" on multiple Boston sports topics. This doesn't necessarily mean it will be the first time you hear a specific take on a topic with every post just as the Boston teams don't score first every time. However, the intent is to give you, the reader, something unique and provide opinions on a range of topics that you don't always read about every day.

The opinions on my posts are my own. These opinions may not always be favorable and I don't expect that you'll always agree with them. The "First Score" goal is simply for the readers to enjoy reading about these topics as much as I enjoy writing about them. Your comments and feedback are welcome! Please follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Google, and Tumblr by clicking the link in the Follow Us section!
Thank you! - Joe
