Patriots Message: It’s Tom Brady Or BUST

November 5, 2017April 26, 2020 Joe Leave a comment Football, Patriots

In a two month span, the New England Patriots went from having the best quarterback situation in the National Football League to going all in on a 40 year-old quarterback.  Like it or not, Patriots fans, the window started to close down by a few inches last week when the Patriots traded Jimmy Garoppolo to […]

Did Roger Goodell HELP Tom Brady’s Brand?

August 20, 2017April 26, 2020 Joe Leave a comment Football, Patriots

There are still many Patriots fans who can’t let go of Deflategate.  They still feel like Tom Brady was treated unfairly and suffered as a result of Roger Goodell’s decision on the four game suspension last season.  We all know the story.  The suspension did not stop Brady and he led the Patriots to their […]

March 22, 2017April 26, 2020 Joe Leave a comment Football, Patriots

Has Tom Brady become bigger than the New England Patriots Team?  Now is the perfect time to ask this question.  Why?  Well, we’re in the middle of a week where the biggest story in Boston sports was that Brady’s jersey was found.  Think about that for a minute.  A jersey.  Not a big team win. […]

Since the Patriots big Super Bowl win, the big question in regards to what’s next has been will the Patriots trade Jimmy  Garoppolo this offseason.  The Patriots have Jimmy G. under control for his fourth season.  His value is higher than it has ever been and, perhaps, higher than it will be.  As we all […]

Euphoria In Patriots Nation

January 23, 2017 Joe 2 Comments Featured, Football, Patriots, Super Bowl

The New England Patriots are going to the Super Bowl…again.  What this team has accomplished over the past decade and a half is unprecedented.  The Patriots are now the late 1990’s New York Yankees of the NFL.  They’re the team that has a very confident and cocky fan base.  There’s a definitive swagger there and […]

With the Steelers defeating the Chiefs along with the Packers and Falcons advancing to the NFC Championship Game, one this is now clear.  The path for the Patriots to win the Super Bowl this year will be a lot different than their path up to this point.  The Patriots are 15-2 and are viewed as […]

Why Tom Brady Is Not The NFL MVP

December 26, 2016 Joe Leave a comment Featured, Football, Patriots

Sorry, Patriots Nation, but Tom Brady is not the NFL MVP this year.  Brady has had another outstanding season.  He has played better than anyone possibly could have imagined at 39 years old.  Brady has thrown for 3,278 yards, 25 touchdown passes, and just two interceptions in eleven games while leading the Patriot to a […]

Why BOSTON Remains The Top Sports City

December 11, 2016 Joe Leave a comment Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, Featured, Patriots

If you had asked most fans in the country what was the top sports city in the summer of 2011, the answer would have been very easy.  It was Boston.  The Patriots had won three championships and the Red Sox had won two titles in the past ten years at that time.  In addition, the […]

ABOUT

First Score Boston - A Boston Sports Blog
The Boston sports teams are about winning and championships. Nine championships in fifteen years speaks for itself! One of the goals of all four teams is to get out in front early by scoring first. The intent of this site is get the "First Score" on multiple Boston sports topics. This doesn't necessarily mean it will be the first time you hear a specific take on a topic with every post just as the Boston teams don't score first every time. However, the intent is to give you, the reader, something unique and provide opinions on a range of topics that you don't always read about every day.

The opinions on my posts are my own. These opinions may not always be favorable and I don't expect that you'll always agree with them. The "First Score" goal is simply for the readers to enjoy reading about these topics as much as I enjoy writing about them. Your comments and feedback are welcome! Please follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Google, and Tumblr by clicking the link in the Follow Us section!
Thank you! - Joe
